Jenny, the former Deputy Mayor of London, was recently named as one of 200 "women of achievement" and invited to Buckingham Palace for lunch with Her Majesty The Queen. Jenny Jones, Green Party member of London Assembly is concerned with making the MPS effective and accountable, especially in matters of Civil Liberties A 54-year-old ex-archaeologist and former Chair of the Green Party, is the Mayor's Road Safety Ambassador and works on reducing road crime and violence. She aims to make London a safer city for all road users by actively campaigning to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on London's roads. In addition, she has been pressing for urgent improvements to the government's treatment of trafficked women and children, for better facilities for cyclists and pedestrians, for improved access to public transport for those with mobility problems, and is a strong advocate for the congestion charging scheme. Jenny is a member of the MPA Professional Standards and Complaints Committee and the Community Engagement Committee. Jenny is the group convenor of the two Green Party Members on the London Assembly. She is also: Mayor’s Road Safety Ambassador; chair of London Food; chair of Walking Forum (TfL); member of Assembly’s Budget Committee; member of Business Managers and Appointments Committee; vice chair of the London Hydrogen Partnership; and Mayor’s representative for Mayors for Peace MPA Link Member for:
