Karim Murji is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Open University, where he has contributed to courses in Sociology, Social Policy, Politics and Geography. Through teaching, research and voluntary activities, Karim has been involved in crime and policing issues in London for nearly 20 years. Karim joined the MPA in 2004 and is currently the Deputy Chair of the Planning, Perfomance and Review Committee. Karim’s main interests on the MPA are equality and diversity, police performance and evaluation, and professional standards. Karim has one son and lives in west London.
