Summary

The District Auditor has submitted the annual audit letter for 2005/06. It is submitted to the Corporate Governance Committee for comment.

A. Recommendation

That members consider the audit letter before it is reported to the full Authority.

B. Supporting information

1. The District Auditor has submitted the annual management letter for 2004/05 and it is attached as Appendix 1.

2. The District Auditor will be in attendance at the meeting.

None arising directly from this report.

D. Financial implications

The Audit Fee for 2005/06 totalled £516,000 and was within budget. It was made up as follows:
