MPA welcomes opportunity to learn lessons - IPCC report received

15/06
14 March 2006

The Metropolitan Police Authority can confirm it has received a copy of the Independent Police Complaints Commission’s recommendation report following its Stockwell Investigation.

The Authority will work with the MPS to study the recommendations made and welcomes this opportunity to learn lessons and ensure a vigorous regime is in place to oversee and implement Operation Kratos.

The Authority recognises that the MPS has already put in place a number of changes to operational practice, which were outlined to members at the last Full Authority meeting on 23 February.

The MPA remains committed to opening up the debate about terrorism by involving London’s communities in how our police should respond to the threat.
