Sections available here: Content MPA consulting with deaf and hearing impaired Londoners to improve services 40/06 Deaf and hearing impaired Londoners will help the Metropolitan Police Authority formulate its Disability Equality Scheme (DES) to ensure London’s disabled communities receive accessible and fair police services. A user involvement and consultation event on Wednesday 12 July will focus on the development of the Authority’s DES. Attendees will be asked to consider issues that need to be included to both improve the quality of life for disabled Londoners and strengthen the relationship between disabled communities and the Metropolitan Police Service. The day will also provide opportunities for Londoners to indicate how they would like to be further involved in the development of the Authority’s DES.
