Notes to editors1. London Week of Peace is supported by the Metropolitan Police Authority, the Metropolitan Police Service, the Home Office, the Safer London Foundation and the Mayor of London. 2. Central events for the week include: a breakfast meeting for leaders of communities, faith groups and service providers at City Hall on Monday 11; a peace service in Westminster Central Hall on the evening of Monday 11; the annual Peace Award ceremony on Thursday 14 where eight awards will be presented to those who have made outstanding contributions to promoting peace in London; and a peace rally in Trafalgar Square on Friday 15. 3. The MPA is sponsoring the Turn Around Peace Award given to an ex-offender who has made a positive change in his/her community.
