Operational note: June meeting

The Annual Meeting, followed by the June full Authority meeting, of the MPA will be held at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday 28 June 2007 at: Westminster Council House, Council Chamber, 97-113 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5PT

Subjects to be discussed by the Authority at the meeting include:

• an MPA update on ‘Counter-Terrorism: The London Debate’;
• the MPS response to the MPA report ‘Counter-Terrorism: The London Debate’;
• the MPA and MPS Gender Equality Schemes;
• the government’s new Model Code of Conduct for members of local authorities;
• MPA accounts year end March 2007; and
• environmental sustainability, a summary of the MPS strategic approach, how it is addressing mayoral priorities, successes to date and forthcoming challenges.

Commissioner Sir Ian Blair will give an update on operational policing issues in London and present a written performance report.
