Sections available here: Content Head of Counter Terrorism Command DAC Peter Clarke to retire45/07 Following careful consideration, after more than 30 years service in the Metropolitan Police and some five years in his current role, as well as National Co-ordinator of Terrorist Investigations, DAC Peter Clarke has decided to retire from the police service on 31 January 2008. Reluctantly, the Metropolitan Police Authority and the Commissioner have accepted his decision. Len Duvall, chair of the MPA, said:
