The boroughs of Barking & Dagenham and Havering are to meet with the London-wide Race Hate Crime Forum. They will present and discuss borough responses to race hate crimes, programmes in place for tackling them and strategies to involve communities in the boroughs. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 17 May 2005, 15:00 – 17:00, in meeting room 1 at the MPA, 10 Dean Farrar Street, London, SW1H 0NY. This is an open meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend. Notes to editors1. The London-wide Race Hate Crime Forum aims to improve the co-ordination between the key agencies responsible for dealing with victims of race hate crime and to improve the effectiveness with which perpetrators of race hate crimes are brought to justice. Its overall purpose is to help reduce and prevent race hate crimes, improve the confidence and satisfaction of victims in reporting crimes, and to promote consistent service across London. 2.
